5/8 – Surprise! Downtime!
Hey, Everyone!
Keeping this short and sweet–we’re taking the Vault offline for a little while to try to fix the loading issues some people have been having. We hope to fix this today, but the site may be offline as late as the weekend (May 11-12.) We will try to update whenever possible so that everyone is on the same page.
Sorry for the sudden announcement with no earlier warning, but we had to call in some extra help to fix these issues so we aren’t working on Admin Time, we’re working on Help Time.

4/16 School Year Is Coming to a Close
Hello everyone!
We just wanted to give you a friendly heads-up and reminder that 7th Year Students will be on hold for character creation, due to the school year slowly coming to a close. If you’re thinking of making more students now is the time to do so. Just remember that they must be 1st-6th year students or canons!

4/6 – April Showers!
Spring Has Sprung!
While our Spring Cleaning is underway, we’ll try to shower you with fun!
April is Art Appreciation Month!
As some of you may have noticed in your lair newsletters, April is Art Appreciation Month here at Vault 713! This month we encourage you to create your own Vault-related art, use an illustrated avatar of your character, and things like that! Post in Stories & Sketches with your own drawings–illustrate a scene from Harry Potter, your favorite Vault thread, a character, whatever! Each Dragon Lair also invites its members to create their own drawings of what each of the four dragons might look like as well! Anyone who participates in Art Appreciation Month may very well earn themselves an achievement, so get on out there and show us your stuff! If you draw up an avatar for your character, be sure to post it in Stories & Sketches!
New News is On The Way!
Behind the scenes, we’re hard at work on our new News Room, and it’ll be better than ever! Opening up in May, the new News Room will focus more on curating information and plot updates from around the board so that we can better highlight what your characters are doing, rather than just throwing updates at the wall and hoping they stick. Everyone will still be able to participate and write for the News Room as before, but if you really want to get an edge on the News Room, we highly suggest creating a character who works for a news publication such as the Daily Prophet or Witch Weekly!

4/4 – Forum Offline until April 5
Hey, Everyone!
After going live for a few hours we realized we were having some loading issues that were causing the server to be intermittently unavailable and take a long time to process information. Since it’s always better to be safe than sorry, we’ve opted to take the board offline until tomorrow so that we can make absolutely, 100% sure that things are working as they should, because while this small load error might not be affecting every player, it might trigger worse issues later on if not fixed.
In the mean time, please continue to join us at our sister site, http://roleplayhub.com, or at our chat room at http://vault713.com/chat, though we’re aware the chat page is currently having some alignment issues!
We’d also like to take the time to remind players that all of your posts, characters, and what not will all be safe and sound and unaffected during the update process. We do ask, however, that you please avoid spam-refreshing the forum! We will post an announcement right here on the front page when things are back online, as well as on our Facebook (http://facebook.com/rpvault713) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/rpvault713) — even if you do not use these services, it can be handy to bookmark them, as they should be accessible to everyone.
The safest way for you to help us, though? Change your bookmarks from http://vault713.com/bb to just http://vault713.com — you’ll still know when updates are made and won’t have a chance of affecting the load time on the forum.
